Youth Agriculture Programs
Youth are the Future of MN Agriculture
The MN Pork Board is dedicated to fostering the next generation of pork industry leaders through a variety of youth agriculture programs, conferences, and opportunities. These initiatives aim to educate and inspire young individuals about the pork industry, providing them with valuable knowledge, skills, and experiences. Youth programs include hands-on workshops, mentorship opportunities, and participation in state and national events, allowing young people to engage directly with industry professionals and gain insights into modern pork production practices.

Pig Possibilities
Pig Possibilities is a youth development program of Minnesota Pork introducing youth to possibilities in the pork industry outside of the showring. Established in 2024, our hope is to make a connection between commercial farmers and show pig families. We exist to unify all sides of the Minnesota pork industry as one working group. Help be the difference in biosecurity and animal health as a show pig community.
We provide educational opportunities and resources to teach youth exhibitors about biosecurity, career opportunities and how to advocate for the industry. We strive to present a better understanding of both sides of the industry, sharing the best biosecurity practices to ensure our pork supply would be safe in the case of a foreign animal disease outbreak.
