PQA+ and TQA Certification 2025

View the 2025 class schedule here.

Pork Quality Assurance Plus (PQA+) and Transport Quality Assurance (TQA) classes for 2025 are available at the following locations and dates. Minnesota Pork Board, in conjunction with U of M Extension, holds three-hour, in-person trainings throughout the year.

PQA+ provides improved animal well-being standards and relevant food safety standards to ensure producers can measure, track and continuously improve pig well being.

Transport Quality Assurance (TQA) is a certification program that provides continuing education to pork producers. TQA helps swine transporters, producers, and handlers understand how to handle, move and transport pigs and the potential impacts those actions have on pig well-being and pork quality.

Check your certification status

PQA Plus certification is good for three years, so producers need to be re-certified every three years to keep their certification current. To check your PQA+ or TQA status, call the Pork Checkoff Service Center at 1-800-456-7675.

Registration

The training is free for attendees, but pre-registration is required. To pre-register, contact colleen@mnpork.com or 1-800-537-7675 by the day before the scheduled training.

If you need to get or renew your TQA certification and available workshop dates do not fit in your schedule, or if your farm has a large group of employees needing certification, please contact:
